Becca’s fascination with true crime started young—long before she learned that not everyone enjoys falling asleep to murder documentaries. When her friends stopped answering her late-night “you have to watch this” messages, she did the only logical thing: partnered with Lauren to start Crimes and Commentary. Dark humor, twisted tales, and psychological deep dives included.

Armed with multiple business degrees and an insatiable curiosity, Becca loves any challenge that keeps her mind busy—and occasionally, a little twisted. When she’s not diving into the depths of Crimes and Commentary, you’ll find her with her husband, John, and their pups, Pancake and Biscuits, exploring the great outdoors of Wisconsin or binging anything with a good story—podcasts, books, movies, music… if it’s intriguing, she’s in.

Lauren (Auntie LoLo)

Hooked on true crime since childhood, Lauren was first captivated by the haunting tones of Robert Stack on Unsolved Mysteries. Now a business grad and social media maven, she channels that same curiosity into Crimes and Commentary.

Years ago, Lauren and Becca became best friends—bonding over late-night true crime binges, dark humor, and an ever-growing list of documentaries that probably worried their friends and families. What started as shared fascination soon evolved into Crimes and Commentary, where their quick wit and mutual curiosity bring a fresh, conversational edge to the genre.

Off the mic, Lauren’s world revolves around her fiancé, Jake, their baby girl, dogs Abba and Bandit, and cat Zoey. Whether she’s outdoors, traveling, or with family, she still can’t resist a good mystery—preferably one that doesn’t end up on her own doorstep.
